DDR INTRODUCTION
DDR Module (Double Data Rate) is a revolutionary new technology derived from PC100 and PC133. DDR Modules provide higher performance of SDRAM because they perform two data operations in one clock cycle. In other words, PC100 / PC133 SDRAM are also called SDR Module (Single Data Rate). Currently ARMAS manufacture the Un-buffered DDR DIMMs (PC2100 with DDR266 Memory Chips) and working on the design of DDR SO-DIMMs and Registered DDR for Servers to meet expected booming market demands form Year 2001.
SPECITIFACTION
1. The DDR DIMMs have same physical dimensions as SDRAM DIMMs, but not downward compatible with SDRAM DIMMs due to it has 184 pins golden- finger connector v.s. 168pin of SDRAM DIMMs.
2. Up to 2.1GB/sec of peak
bandwidth using PC2100 DIMMs (w/ DDR266 Memory chips)
3. Clock Frequency: 133Mhz
4. Clock Access Time: 0.75ns
5. Operation Voltage: 2.5Volt
6. Supporting SPD
7. CAS Latency: 2 or 2.5
8. Un-Buffered ECC (option)
9. Capacity: 128MB, 256MB
